Double Duty & Double Podiums for JCR/Honda!

This past weekend JCR/Honda pulled double duty, competing in 2- states covering NHHA and NGPC.

Saturday’s Hare & Hound located near the Little Sahara OHV in Utah was hosted by the Sageriders MC. Perfect weather greeted the 285 racers and their families. The course consisted of two individual loops: Loop 1- 51 miles with a lot of sand and high-speed trails with no lack of whoops. Loop 2 was 35 miles long through cedar trees, rocky trails and a few creek crossings.
JCR’s Preston Campbell raced to a solid 4th in the Pro 250 class, keeping his consistency through the 5 rounds of racing. Preston had a big high-speed crash halfway through the first loop, leaving him bruised but not out. He regrouped on his CRF250RX to finish just off the podium. Preston continues to keep his Pro 250 championship hope alive, going into the summer break 3rd in points.

Next up for NHHA August 24th in Caliente, Nevada for round #6.

The 5th round of the very popular NGPC series landed in Primm, Nevada- hosted by the Shamrocks MC. At 1,419 entries strong and another 2650 spectators the series continues to impress.
The club had their work cut out for them since the venue was used up by another sanctioning body for qualifying races just 2 days before their annual GP event. Despite the conditions, the club provided the racers with a successful and challenging event.

Trevor Stewart aboard his Gage Day, prepped CRF450RX, was top 5 off the start and quickly moved up to third. Trevor fought hard and ultimately found himself on the podium in 3rd. Trevor maintains a solid 10 point lead in the championship fight.

Preston Campbell sore but not down, ran in the top 5 off the start of the Pro 2 division. Pushing hard for the first half of the race and banged up from the prior day’s get off, began to show as he slipped back to 7th by the completion of the 1.5hr event. Preston maintains a top 5 position in Pro 2 championship points chase.

Tarah Gieger had another stellar race in the Women’s Pro division aboard her CRF250RX. Tarah lead the race from wire to wire in the dry, square-edged, dusty event claiming her 3rd consecutive win and further solidifying her lead in the Championship!

Next up for NGPC October 6th in Ridgecrest, California for round #6
