In one of the more scenic off-road races of the year, the BITD Silver State 300, Brett Sourapas will start first off the line on Saturday.
Qualifying was held just behind the Buffalo Bills Hotel in Primm and utilized some of the short course track as well as some of the desert course behind it. The Mason Motorsports AWD was definitely an advantage in the soft and twisty course where grab and acceleration were more of a factor then top speed.
Following Sourpas off the line is James Dean also the first 1500 car, with Justin Lofton (filling in for Jeff Terzo), Jason Voss, and Ray Griffith rounding out the top 5.
In Class 6100 Brock Heger did Brock Heger things qualifying once again on the top spot beating Kyle Jergensen by just under two seconds on the 3 mile course. Travis Chase, Ryan Hancock and David Kleiman are your top 5.
Word on the street is that the Silver State course got some rain a few days ago so with less dust will starting position be important? With a 300 mile sprint only time will tell.
